At midnight in a Philippian prison, beaten and chained, Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God. Suddenly an earthquake shook the foundations and every door opened. The terrified jailer, about to take his own life, cried out, “What must I do to be saved?” The answer was simple and wonderful: believe in the Lord Jesus. That same night his whole household heard the word, believed and rejoiced together.
Families in France are under great pressure. In 2025, for the first time since the Second World War, more people died in France than were born. The birth rate fell to 1.56 children per woman, the lowest since the end of the First World War. Many children grow up between two homes, and loneliness affects young and old alike.
Yet there are signs of hope: the number of weddings rose again, to 251,000 in 2025.
Pray for marriages to be strong and faithful, for parents to raise their children in the Lord, and for grandparents to pass on their faith. Above all, pray for whole households across France to hear the Gospel and believe together, like the jailer’s family at midnight.
Pray for husbands and wives, single parents, children and grandparents; for healing of broken relationships, for the protection of children, and for churches that welcome every family.
“But as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.” — Joshua 24:15
Famille Je t’Aime is a Christian association that has helped couples, families and individuals for more than 37 years from its base in Alsace. Its vision is to help Christian couples and families live better together, rooted in a biblical understanding of the family.
Trained volunteers offer listening, biblical counselling and seminars, as well as family holidays, couples’ weekends, father–son and mother–daughter weekends, and breaks for single adults. FJA also trains people in biblical pastoral care through one-year and three-year programmes.
Pray for its volunteers, for families finding healing, and for churches equipped to strengthen homes.

Did you know? Marseille is often affectionately called the “fifth island” of the Comoros Islands.
Pray: Father, the Comorian community in France is warm and family-centred. Reveal Jesus to Comorian mothers, fathers and children, and raise up Comorian believers who will lead their extended families to faith. Amen.

Marseille, France’s oldest city and second-largest, has about 870,000 inhabitants. Founded by Greek sailors around 600 BC, it has always been a port of welcome for people from around the Mediterranean, Africa and beyond. It has one of the largest Comorian communities outside the Comoros, alongside large North African, Armenian and other communities. Marseille is full of creativity and energy, but some northern districts suffer from poverty, unemployment and drug-related violence that has claimed many young lives. At Easter 2026 the Marseille church province recorded 1,437 adult and teenage baptisms, the second-highest total in France.
ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਕਰੋ: Pray for peace in Marseille’s neighbourhoods, for young people to be rescued from drug gangs, and for churches to become spiritual families for the fatherless.
“Father of the fatherless and protector of widows is God in his holy habitation.” — Psalm 68:5
We declare over Marseille and France: believe in the Lord Jesus and be saved, you and your household! Chains will fall, prison doors will open, and families will rejoice together.
