Welkom bij de campagne van 2026 van Pray for France!
Zoals u wellicht weet, Bid voor Frankrijk sinds 2010 elk jaar duizenden mensen over de hele wereld in gebed samenbrengt. Hoewel dit jaar een verandering in timing en duur van de campagne markeert, blijft de kern hetzelfde: Frans- en Engelstalige gelovigen helpen om samen te voorbede te doen voor het land.
Waar gaat de campagne van 2026 over?
Ons hoofdthema dit jaar is Een hoop en een toekomst, geïnspireerd door Jesaja 61 zoals uitgelegd op Dag 1.
Op de volgende dagen zullen we naar dit thema kijken aan de hand van dit bijbelgedeelte:
Jullie zijn het zout der aarde. Maar als het zout zijn smaak verliest, hoe kan het dan weer zout gemaakt worden? Het deugt nergens meer voor, behalve om weggegooid en door mensen vertrapt te worden. Jullie zijn het licht van de wereld. Een stad die op een berg ligt, kan niet verborgen blijven. Ook steekt men geen lamp aan om die onder een korenmaat te zetten, maar men zet hem op de standerkandelaar, en hij schijnt voor allen die in het huis zijn. (Matteüs 5:13-15, NBG51)
Week 1: De vertegenwoordigde ministeries zijn voornamelijk kerkgericht en delen hun visie op hun rol als de zout van de Aarde.
Week 2: richt zich op bedieningen die buiten het traditionele bereik van de kerk werken en die hun passie delen als zijnde de licht van Jezus in de wereld.
Hoe gebruik ik deze gids?
Verwacht elke dag een paar minuten besteden aan lezen terwijl een specifiek bediening haar geschiedenis, haar identiteit, hoe God door de jaren heen trouw is geweest, een getuigenis van de levens die zij door Gods genade getransformeerd hebben gezien, de hoop die hen voortdrijft, en een extra bijbelvers deelt. Neem daarna de tijd om te bidden voor hun specifieke verzoeken, evenals een afsluitend gebedspunt voor andere soortgelijke bedieningen in Frankrijk.

Wist je dat er, net als in het Hebreeuws, in het Frans twee verschillende woorden zijn om “hopen” of “hoop” te zeggen? We gebruiken de woorden “espoir” en 'espérance' – maar wat is het verschil? Bekijk deze video van de Bible Project om de ware betekenis van het woord “hoop” te begrijpen.”
In deze onzekere tijden hopen wij, de gelovigen in Christus, niet alleen dat de dingen naar onze hand worden gezet. Wij hebben de Qavah-hoop dat Zijn beloften zullen worden vervuld. Zijn Woord is de lamp voor onze voeten, de vuurtoren in het duisternis die ongelovigen hard nodig hebben.
In Frankrijk wordt religie voornamelijk gezien in termen van scheiding tussen kerk en staat. Als vastberaden voorstander van laïcité is het land overwegend atheistisch, en wordt het geloof in Jezus beschouwd als iets uit het verleden dat men liever wil vergeten. Politiek, de economie en de staat zijn afgoden geworden die hun beloften niet nakomen, en het Franse volk wordt gedwongen dit in te zien. Zonder hoop om zich aan vast te ankeren, worden de Fransen angstiger; isolement en de media vergroten hun angst voor de toekomst.
God roept Zijn kinderen echter op om hun vertrouwen op Hem te stellen. Zijn beloften, Zijn liefde, Zijn goedheid, Zijn vrede, Zijn bescherming en Zijn zegen zijn degelijk en waarachtig beschikbaar!
Dit jaar bidden we voor alle christenen in heel Frankrijk, om te getuigen van de trouw van Christus in hun eigen leven in deze maatschappij die Hem zo hard nodig heeft. Moge te midden van de chaos het licht van Zijn Kerk schijnen, en moge het de hoop in heel Frankrijk vernieuwen.
De Geest van de Heer, de Heer, is op mij, omdat de Heer mij heeft gezalfd. Hij heeft mij gestuurd om een goede boodschap te brengen aan de armen, om te genezen wie gebroken van hart zijn, om vrylating af te kondigen voor gevangenen en vrijheid voor wie gebonden zijn, om het jaar van de genade van de Heer uit te roepen en de dag van de wraak van onze God, om alle treurenden te troosten, om hen die in Sion treuren een sieraad te geven in plaats van as, vreugdeolie in plaats van rouw, een lofgewaad in plaats van een moedeloze geest. Men zal hen noemen: eiken van de gerechtigheid, een aanplanting van de Heer tot verheerlijking van zijn luister. (Jesaja 61:1-3, NBV)
Dit profetische woord dat door Jesaja werd ontvangen, kwam zeven eeuwen later uit toen Jezus het uitsprak aan het begin van Zijn aardse bediening. Vandaag, terwijl we wachten op Zijn terugkeer, wat is er dan mooier dan Zijn woorden ter harte te nemen en ze in daden om te zetten om Zijn werk voort te zetten door middel van de Heilige Geest die Hij ons heeft gegeven. Er is maar één hoop: Verdomme!
Laten we bidden…
1. Jezus, net zoals U Uzelf hebt opgeofferd zodat wij geheiligd kunnen worden, verootmoedigen wij ons voor U en aanbidden wij U. Wij erkennen dat U alles al volbracht hebt en wij bieden U deze tijd van gebed aan om te aandoen voor dit land dat U zo nauw aan het hart ligt. Moge, net zoals Uw hart om ons huilde, ons hart uitroepen om onze verloren broeders en zusters in Frankrijk.
2. Heer, vermeerder ons geloof, ons vaste geloof in Uw beloften, in Uw goedheid jegens ons, onze geliefden en alle mensen in Frankrijk, die ver van U zijn afgedwaald.
3. Vader, moge onze broeders en zusters in Christus, die in Frankrijk leven, gesterkt worden in hun missie. Zend Uw Kerk opdat zij de lamp zij, aangestoken op de top van de berg:, het laaiende vuur, de vuurtoren in de duisternis, die de weg naar huis wijst aan al Uw kinderen die zijn afgedwaald.
4. Heilige Geest, inspireer onze gebeden. Mogen zij tot U opstijgen, onze God, als een zoete en aangename geur die Uw hart vult met mededogen voor Uw kinderen in Frankrijk.

Action Biblique Kerk

Ons verhaal | De AB-kerk in Bonneville werd opgericht in 2004 in een stad waar geen evangelische aanwezigheid was. Onze bediening richt zich op de jeugd en op hulpbehoevenden in onze stad, zoals gedetineerden. We groeien, ondanks de beperkte ruimte in tijdelijke voorzieningen, en kijken uit naar de spoedige voltooiing van ons nieuwe gebouw! In 2024 kregen we dankzij de steun van de lokale autoriteiten de gelegenheid om een pand te kopen in Bonneville. We zien God aan het werk door dit kolossale project om onze bediening stevig te verankeren in het hart van de stad.
Onze identiteit | Wat ons onderscheidt in onze dienstbaarheid is ons warme welkom, onze diepe relaties en de sterke betrokkenheid van onze leden bij maatschappelijke outreach. We dienen en tonen liefde door onze aalmoezeniersdienst in de Bonneville-gevangenis, onze kinderclubs en kerstknutselworkshops, en ons partnerschap met de Gideons om bijbels uit te delen voor lokale middelbare scholen en universiteiten.
Gods trouw Gods trouw is te zien in de groei van onze kerk, aangezien we vandaag de dag een gemeenschap van 60 mensen zijn. Hij voorziet altijd op het juiste moment, zoals in 2024, toen Hij de deur op een kier zette om een tijdelijke locatie in Marnaz te gebruiken. Zijn hand is duidelijk zichtbaar in onze relaties met de lokale autoriteiten en elke stap van dit project bevestigt dat Hij degene is die Zijn kerk bouwt terwijl Hij ons leidt.
Levens getransformeerd Christian, een gedetineerde in de Bonneville-gevangenis, wordt geconfronteerd met zowel een zware straf als zijn overweldigende schuldgevoel. Terwijl hij kerkdiensten bijwoont in de gevangenis en praat met de aalmoezeniers, ontdekt hij langzaam maar zeker Gods genade en vergeving in Jezus Christus. Onlangs deelde hij dit getuigenis: “Ik geloof dat ik werd opgesloten om God te ontmoeten.”
Het zout der aarde Wij zijn geroepen om het zout der aarde te zijn. Hoewel het onmogelijk is om discussies over onderhoud van het gebouw, het organiseren van diensten en de behoeften van de kerk te vermijden, mogen deze dingen ons niet afleiden van onze primaire missie: ambassadeurs voor Christus te zijn. Anders verliest de kerk haar smaak.
Onze hoop Jezus heeft beloofd om Zijn gemeente in deze stad te bouwen. Hoewel dit bouwproject tijd en financiën vereist die onze draagkracht te boven gaan, is Jezus niet zonder middelen. Hij heeft ook beloofd om Zijn gemeente te bouwen, ons te versterken en toe te rusten om het Evangelie te brengen aan de mensen om ons heen. We bidden niet alleen voor dit bouwproject, maar ook voor het geestelijke huis dat wij vormen als Gods volk.
Laten we bidden…
1. Voor het bouwproject en voor de relatie tussen de kerk en de woonwijk Le Bouchet in Bonneville.
2. Om onze kerk steeds zichtbaarder te maken in Bonneville en in alle steden van de Arve-vallei.
3. Voor onze geestelijke vitaliteit, voor de vernieuwing van onze kracht en voor volharding in tijden van tegenspoed.
4. Meer in het algemeen, voor alle nieuwe kerken in Frankrijk! Moge God de visie van de leiders en het geloof van de leden vernieuwen, moge Zijn voorziening op tijd arriveren, tot Zijn eer en tot de eer van Zijn bruid!
Het vers van vandaag | Maar God zij dank, die ons in Christus altijd meevoert in zijn triomftocht en door ons heen de geur van zijn kennis overal verspreidt. Want wij zijn voor God de aangename geur van Christus onder hen die worden gered en hen die verloren gaan. Voor de eersten zijn wij een geur die naar de dood leidt, voor de anderen een geur die naar het leven leidt. En wie is voor zulk een taak berekend? (2 Korinthiërs 2:14-16)

Ons verhaal | The Lexington Café werd in 2015 opgericht in Toulouse door de leiders van de La Maison-kerk. Als vrucht van jaren van gebed en hard werken is het uitgegroeid tot een geliefde lokale ontmoetingsplek om te genieten van een goede kop koffie. Na gesloten te zijn geweest tijdens Covid, openden we in 2024 opnieuw onze deuren. Vandaag de dag verwelkomt het café overdag gemiddeld 200 mensen per maand, uit verschillende generatie-, sociale en culturele achtergronden. We zijn vooral populair bij de jonge studenten in de omgeving. Daarnaast bezoekt ruim 100 mensen de avondevenementen die worden georganiseerd door partnerkerken.
Onze identiteit | Lexington Café is een plek om te ontspannen of af te spreken met vrienden. Het is een rustige en vredige plek waar vriendelijke en zorgzame christelijke medewerkers naar iedereen luisteren, ongeacht iemands geloof. Veel mensen komen genieten van onze goede kwaliteit drankjes en eten.
Gods trouw | We zijn dankbaar om klanten weer te mogen verwelkomen na zo lang gesloten te zijn geweest na Covid. We zijn ook enthousiast dat deze ruimte open is voor, en beschikbaar is voor, alle kerken in Toulouse. God heeft altijd financieel voorzien om onze activiteiten jaar na jaar te ondersteunen.
Levens getransformeerd | Een jonge vrouw, wiens appartement zich boven het Lexington Café bevindt, ontving per ongeluk een Amazon-pakket dat voor ons bestemd was. Ze kwam het vriendelijk naar beneden brengen en heeft een kop thee gedronken. Haar hart snakte naar God en na een paar maanden tijd met ons te hebben doorgebracht, werd ze in december 2025 gedoopt. Wat een vreugde!
Licht van de wereld | Ons café bevindt zich in het stadscentrum van Toulouse en dankzij ons grote raam/etalage zijn we al van ver zichtbaar. Mensen zeggen vaak dat de Lexington Café als een vuurtoren in de stad is.
Onze hoop | God blijft ons laten zien hoe levens in de stad worden getransformeerd, dus ontwikkelen we andere avondactiviteiten om mensen uit allerlei rangen en standen van de leefwereld aan te trekken. Onze hoop is om elk van hen de gelegenheid te geven redding te ontvangen.
Laten we bidden…
1. Voor financiële voorzieningen ter ondersteuning van onze zendelingen die zich dagelijks inzetten.
2. Om het team te versterken met nieuwe vrijwilligers die te popelen staan om zich in te zetten.
3. Voor open harten onder de studenten en de jeugd van Toulouse, opdat zij de liefde van God mogen ontdekken en verwelkomen.
4. Voor alle christelijke cafés in Frankrijk die niet-christenen verwelkomen in een vriendelijke sfeer, en zo getuigen van Christus' liefde voorre alre die Hem zoeken.

Ons verhaal | De Christelijke en Missionaire Kerk van Saint-Maur werd opgericht in 2002 onder leiding van onze “moederkerk” in het 13e arrondissement van Parijs (lid van AECM Frankrijk). Oorspronkelijk bestaande uit christenen die in de jaren 1970-1980 vanuit Vietnam en Cambodja arriveerden, is onze kerkgemeenschap vandaag de dag zeer multicultureel geworden en blijft zij groeien door de genade van God.
Onze identiteit | Wij zijn een van de weinige kerken in de Chinese diaspora met zowel een Franstalige als een Chinees sprekende gemeente, elk met een eigen voorganger en een eredienst in hun moedertaal.
Gods trouw | God heeft de afgelopen jaren nieuwe mensen naar ons toe gestuurd. Hij heeft werkelijk een deur geopend naar de wijk rondom de kerk, waardoor we zichtbaarder zijn geworden en meer relaties met onze buren kunnen opbouwen. We zijn dankbaar voor de middelen die Hij heeft voorzien voor het werk in het nieuwe kerkgebouw. Ere zij God voor al Zijn zegeningen!
Levens getransformeerd | Een jongvolwassene in onze gemeente groeide op in een christelijk gezin en bezocht al sinds zijn kindertijd de kerk, zij het zonder veel interesse in het geloof. Een paar jaar geleden had hij een echte ontmoeting met de Heer, vroeg hij om de doop en is hij recent begonnen met een theologische opleiding om mogelijk de pastorale bediening in te gaan. Wat een geweldige reis die alleen mogelijk werd gemaakt door de genade van God!
Zout der aarde | Wij geloven dat de kerk geroepen is om radicaal anders te zijn dan de wereld. Dit is de waarheid die wij onderwijzen, en stap voor stap leggen wij getuigenis af voor onze buren binnen onze gemeenschap.
Onze hoop | Dit jaar willen we, in overeenstemming met Efeziërs 2:10, Gods plan volgen, in het vertrouwen dat Hij al van tevoren alles heeft voorbereid wat we in 2026 zullen doen. Moge God ons helpen om trouw te blijven in het getuigen en het delen van het evangelie met onze vrienden, familie en buren in La Pie.
Laten we bidden…
1. Dat de Heer een deur opent voor de verkondiging van het Evangelie in de stad Saint-Maur.
2. Dat onze kerk mag groeien in haar liefde voor hen die zonder hoop leven.
3. Voor alle diasporakerken en multiculturele kerken in Frankrijk, dat zij alle christenen inspireren om elkaar lief te hebben en hun diverse en complementaire aard te vieren, zodat zij het prachtige lichaam van Christus mogen vormen!
Het vers van vandaag | Houd vol in het gebed, wees waakzaam en dankbaar. En bid tegelijk ook voor ons, dat God voor ons een deur opent voor het woord, om te spreken over het geheimenis van Christus, omwille van welk ik ook gebonden ben, opdat ik dat openlijk mag verkondigen zoals ik moet spreken. Ons verhaal | M4 Ready is een trainingsprogramma gericht op jonge leiders van 18 tot 30 jaar, met een focus op kerkstichting en het vermenigvuldigen van discipelen. De online cursus bestaat uit zes modules:
• Kerkplanting: Het proces van het stichten van een nieuwe kerk begrijpen.
• Persoonlijke ontwikkeling: Zelfdiscipline en een veerkrachtige levensstijl.
• Evangelisatie: Het presenteren van het Evangelie en het begrijpen van de context.
• Communicatie: Prediking en onderwijs op een bijbelse en relevante manier.
• Teamontwikkeling: Het bouwen aan een gezond team dat goed presteert.
• Discipleship: Creating a culture of discipleship.
Onze identiteit | M4 Europe wants to see one church planted every day in Europe. Our mission is to equip leaders in order to train and coach church planters and their teams in planting healthy churches that glorify God, impact society and are capable of reproducing.
Gods trouw | Over the past five years, hundreds of young people have been trained by M4 across Europe and in France, training recently began in 2026. This training meets the needs of Gen Z who seek to explore new paths with the Lord.
Levens getransformeerd | In France, eight leaders have been trained as part of our pilot course. We hope many more will follow!
Zout der aarde | We want to raise up a new generation of leaders who will transform France by pouring themselves into society through new expressions of the church. To be the salt of the Earth is the specific heart of our mission.
Onze hoop | This year, we want to train at least 20 leaders and to start another training course in collaboration with a Bible school. Great things are coming!

1. For the new students and the start of the academic year in September.
2. For the perseverance of the students and the impact the course will have in their lives.
3. For young leaders to rise up and encourage their churches to create a momentum for growth and multiplication.
4. For a generation of young leaders in France, that their hearts will be set on fire by the Holy Spirit to go and seek the lost and open churches all over the country!

Perspectives Church Vannes

Ons verhaal | We were formed in 2024 by merging two church planting initiatives in our denominational network to become a regional project in Vannes. We host Perspectives Bretagne Sud, a space consolidating local church activities, social aid activities, as well as activities of the Perspectives union of churches for the region, facilitating pastoral meetings, training courses, etc.
Onze identiteit | Our church aims to be open to the city. We are a welcoming place offering social aid and chaplaincy opportunities as well as proclaiming the Gospel through activities for children and youth. We are a relational church as we partner with other local assemblies through pastoral meetings, training courses, various meetings, and youth events.
Gods trouw | The Lord is faithful! He has consistently supported the project by providing funding and facilities, as well as inspiring support from our union of churches. He has also sent brothers and sisters who are committed to the life of the church. Despite times of difficulty encountered while developing this project, we have seen the Lord’s faithfulness.
Levens getransformeerd | J. grew up in the church with parents who were very committed to our ministry. As a teenager, he withdrew into himself and stopped coming to church. Although one could initially feel his discomfort, little by little, he started to change. He met the Lord and his life was transformed. Today, he has responsibilities in the church caring for students and leading worship services! Praise God!
Zout der aarde | Each member of the church is called to be the salt of the Earth by living out the Gospel wherever they are, with their family, colleagues, classmates, neighbors, and friends. As a church, we are called to be a collective witness in this region of France with few Evangelical Christians. We live out this calling through our worship services, community outreach and social aid, the testimony of our church life and the warm welcome we extend to our neighbors.
Onze hoop | God has projects for the future of our church. While we are in a time of transition, with space and pastoral ministry needs, we rest in the hope that God will lead us in His plans and provide for our various needs.
Laten we bidden…
1. For the transition period we are going through as our pastor is retiring and we are looking for a new one. May the Lord keep us united and committed to serving the church during this time.
2. For the Lord to lead the hearts of a pastoral couple to come and settle in Vannes.
3. For our essential need to extend and develop our premises so we can successfully carry out our projects. May the Lord provide finances for the construction work.
4. For all Christian communities in France to unite around Jesus to bear witness to His love among themselves, and to those who seek Him but may not know Him. May God give strength and hope to local churches and their leadership in regions of France where Evangelical Christians are few. May the soil in those isolated places become fertile for the planting of Christian communities of all types.

Levens getransformeerd | One day, a Brazilian artist who had been in contact with us for seven years asked to know more about the Bible. One of our team members proposed a one-on-one weekly Bible study with him and six months later, he gave his life to the Lord! Journeying with these artists inspires them to find out more about our faith.
Light of the World | We want to shine through our presence in the arts community, through our work and in our towns and cities. Trust is gained via relationships, and artists ask us for personal meetings.
Onze hoop | Starting this summer, we will have officially launched our Dinard location, where we have renovated a former Protestant worship space rented by the Agapé Hub association.

Ons verhaal | Machol Danser la Vie is a ministry based on dance and movement which organizes training courses and seminars. Our goal is to enable Christians to reconnect with their bodies and rediscover the three dimensions of mind, body, and soul through art, worship, and God‘s Word.
Onze identiteit | Our DNA is rooted in the biblical figure of Machol (Mahol in English Bibles) and his sons, mentioned in the book of Kings. In Hebrew, Machol means ‘to dance’, or ‘dancer,’ while the names of his sons evoke reconciliation, unity, intimacy, healing, authority, leadership, and praise. We invite everyone to enter into a deeper intimacy with God and to let themselves be restored and healed by art, worship, and God’s Word.
Gods trouw | God’s faithfulness is omnipresent. When some situations seem complicated or desperate, God often manifests Himself after a time of prayer and intercession. Each year, God continues to grow the ministry, leading it to greater maturity within our team and in our personal lives. We have witnessed lives restored and healed through our training courses and seminars on worship through movement.
Levens getransformeerd | Our training courses on identity and worship through movement lay a solid foundation for finding your identity in Christ. Participants who arrive overwhelmed on the first day are progressively transformed, restored, and empowered. By engaging their mind, body, and soul in unity, they experience the powerful, renewing touch of the Holy Spirit.
Light of the World | Matthew 5:14 has a deep meaning for us and motivates the work we do. For us, being a light means we allow God’s love to flow through us in order to share with others, and bear witness to God. The light we’ve been given shines brightest when we activate it through prayer and worship.
Onze hoop | Our theme for 2026 has been Balance and Cohesion. Balance expresses itself between our horizontal relationships with others and in our vertical relationship with God. We cultivate this balance to be able to act with cohesion and unity as a spiritual body and with God.
Laten we bidden…
1. For the mind – that the breath of the Holy Spirit will be felt over France and its government to raise awareness of the existence of God.
2. For the soul – that the beauty that emanates from God be revealed once again when glory is given to Him through the arts.
3. For the body – that the people of France will reconnect with the heart of God, so that the truth and the greatness of God may begin with the body of France but reach the governing head of the country.
4. For God to grant more visibility to movement ministries within France. May He also turn the lamentations of French people into dance and worship for the King of Kings and Lord of Lords!

We think that the apostle Paul would also have used all the means and media available to him in order to answer his call to impact and bring others to a saving knowledge of Christ.
Onze hoop The Lord spoke to us, declaring 2026 to be a year of restitution, acceleration, and the unfolding of what is far beyond our wildest imagination – fully aligning with the truths of Ephesians 3:20-21.

Ons verhaal | In 2018 we started to reach young people in disadvantaged neighborhoods and young migrants using sports activities, social events, and camps. Our director, Jean Menneron, is a prison chaplain. The Gospel is proclaimed at each event, and Bible groups study the Word. Since 2022, we have offered a culturally relevant program each month for youth and their families, with the desire to see them become the living stones of a new community. All of this is made possible by our committed team members and volunteers. We’re excited to share that a church in the Paris area has also adopted our program.
Onze identiteit | Faithfulness is one of our key values. Young people need consistency when facing difficulties, but they also need it to channel their energy within a structured environment. Proclaiming the Gospel is in our DNA; we are fully committed to sharing it at every opportunity.
Gods trouw In an environment where fruit is hard to measure, the needs of these young people are real. God shows His faithfulness by providing team members and volunteers who have the skills to meet the needs of the young people we interact with. We are encouraged by our team dynamic and know that fellow believers are touched by our actions as they uplift us in various ways. Group retreats several times a year also allow us to take time to listen to God and recharge.
Levens getransformeerd Eldin, a 23-year-old Muslim from Kosovo, has been involved with our ministry since he was 14. Today, he faithfully attends a Bible study, helps lead at camps, and reads daily devotions. He is on the path to deepening his faith and is very close to fully committing his life to Jesus.
Light of the World | We serve in neighborhoods plagued by violence and a lack of family bearings. We want to shine by proclaiming the Gospel in these broken neighborhoods, our chaplaincies, in the young migrant shelter, and in jails. We walk alongside the young people and families in our area by visiting or calling them to show our support and we find this leaves a positive impact. One mother, who we have been helping for a few years, told me a few weeks ago: “I know that He loves me!”
Onze hoop May God build His church near the people we serve by calling workers who are qualified for this long-term ministry. We trust God to provide funds for our team members and our activities for young people.
Laten we bidden…
1. For a spiritual thirst in young people with Muslim backgrounds in deprived neighborhoods.
2. For faithful workers to reach young people where they are, shining brightly through their talents, professions and faith.
3. For this ministry to multiply in France and give rise to healthy communities.
4. For small ministries like ours who reach out to young people, the poor, and the forgotten in environments often hostile to the Word of Christ. May the hearts of these youth and communities be prepared in advance by the Holy Spirit, so that the workers’ words and actions fall on fertile ground and bear much fruit. May signs and wonders accompany these ministries, so that all who are called to know Christ may see the Father in the lives of these witnesses of His love!

Ons verhaal | Created in 1998, the Centre for Reconciliation develops community outreach projects in the following areas:
• Support for unaccompanied minors
• Shelter to single women or women with children
• Shared accommodation for students

Onze identiteit | Our motto is: helping those with no support. We look to the call originating in the Old Testament to protect the vulnerable—widows, orphans, and migrants who were helpless. Today, our mission is to bring relief to those who do not receive public assistance.
God’s faithfulness | God has met our needs through every situation we have faced. For instance, when several young girls were left homeless, He provided a house where they are safely welcomed today. In the same way, God provided both the volunteers and the funding needed for major construction on our youth accommodation.
Levens getransformeerd | Several Christian minors arrived from the Democratic Republic of the Congo and found themselves homeless. Integration into our church and other churches in town allowed them to deepen their life with God, while receiving accommodation and educational support.
Light of the World | People in our neighborhood know the work of the Centre and associate it with the church. Social workers in the Lille area are touched that a church charity is the only answer for these homeless vulnerable women and children, as expressed in a news article in 2023: Homeless Babies: in Lille, the Public Authorities are Overwhelmed, and a Church Comes to the Rescue.
Onze hoop | The small house which houses female minors and women just out of the maternity hospital must be fully paid for so that the long-term action can continue. We await God’s provision. We are praying, we are searching.

1. That the Lord will manifest His presence in the lives of the people in need.
2. That the Lord will give us the necessary discernment and wisdom for our daily lives and for the development of our actions.
3. For all the churches and associations who offer refuge to people in need, feed them, care for them, listen to them or support them, like Jesus did during His time on Earth. They often do not receive recognition; may they be encouraged and blessed by our Father.

Ons verhaal | Founded in 1936 within the Federation of Baptist Evangelical Churches in France, Le Berger d’Israël (The Shepherd of Israel) was established in collaboration with an American Messianic Jewish missionary organization. We aim to share the Bessorah Tova (the Good News of the Gospel) with the Jewish people. The Messiah of Israel, Yeshua’ (Jesus), is at the heart of our faith and our message.

Gods trouw | Many Jewish people have discovered Yeshua through our various activities and collaborations. Our quarterly newsletter is distributed to more than 3,000 people. A member of our team serves in the Paris area, where the largest Jewish community in Europe is located.
Levens getransformeerd | Daniel*, who has a Jewish father and a Catholic mother, first contacted us online and then in person. He was going through difficulties and was seeking answers to many questions. After meeting nearly every week for two years, the Lord’s timing became clear: “In January I took a decisive step, I declared my covenant with the Messiah, and I signed the contract of my heart. That moment will remain engraved in my life.” *name changed
Light of the World | Many Jewish people live in darkness, fearing for the future while searching for hope and light. Through our various activities, we are bringing the Good News from Israel’s Messiah, the light of the world, to the Jewish people.
Onze hoop | It is a dark and difficult time for the Jews in Europe with the sharp rise of antisemitism and growing fear among the Jewish community. These difficult times are opening the hearts of people who would normally be closed off to Jesus. We believe that He sees this ripe harvest and is revealing Himself to His people!
Laten we bidden…
1. For the month of Tishrei – the holiest month of the Jewish religious calendar-which began on September 11 and will last until October 10, marking the beginning of the year 5787. It is a time to reflect on the year coming to an end and to seek the Lord, making this time ideal for discovering Jesus. May many hearts be opened during this month, and may the Lord guide us in our actions!
2. That the Lord of the harvest will send new workers. There are currently 400,000 Jewish people living in the Paris region, yet fewer than 10 people are involved in full-time ministry, witnessing to them.
3. For all ministries that share the Gospel with Jewish people as well as with people of other faiths. May our Lord reveal Himself in their lives, and may all see that our Lord Jesus is God!

Ons verhaal | Ligue pour la Lecture de la Bible is part of an international movement known in English as Scripture Union, which is present in over 140 countries. Its goal is to share the good news of Jesus Christ with people of all ages and backgrounds, using the Bible and prayer to lead them to a personal faith in the Lord.
Onze identiteit | Where other associations may have a singular focus on publishing, hosting camps, or providing training activities, La Ligue does all three! We publish educational resources, promote camp experiences, and offer training for camp leaders. The fact that La Ligue belongs to an international network gives depth to our mission and goals and allows us to pool a large number of resources.
Gods trouw God showed His faithfulness in sustaining the mission despite structural weaknesses and a period of transition. He has provided donors and partners who remained committed even when the economy was weak. He opened new doors to share the Word through renewed resources, digital projects, new training courses, and reinforced links with churches.
Levens getransformeerd Every year, in our training courses, we listen to women share their suffering due to sexual and/or spiritual abuse. Our courses make it possible to open spaces for discussion and to start a healing process.
Light of the World | For everyone at La Ligue, to be a city on the hill, means to be anchored in the reality of our towns and localities by being active in the field. We do this by making the Bible accessible to everyone, by training and accompanying those who pass on the Good News, and by creating spaces where faith is alive. La Ligue aims to shine the light of the Word which guides, reconciles, and gives hope.
Onze hoop God is faithful and He walks with us for the advancement of His Kingdom. Despite challenges, God is with us. Let’s walk in this promise with confidence and peace.

1. That God grants us the wisdom to lead our campaigns as funding levels remain a consistent challenge.
2. For our team who, despite being passionate for our ministry, are often overworked and need to learn to rest.
3. For the youth in France to be more interested in the Bible and its spiritual wealth, and that La Ligue will be an active witness to make this possible.
4. For young French Christians to grow in their faith by attending youth groups, fellowship programs, youth ministry events, and summer camps. May the Lord draw them into a deeper faith and relationship with Him, inspiring many to dedicate their lives to ministry. Please pray for the church to be renewed and strengthened by young believers, reigniting a fire of new life and hope across all congregations that need it!

Now that we have traveled through France and witnessed the faithful men and women serving there in order to bring God’s Kingdom on Earth, let us now find our rest once more in the Lord.
On our final day of this prayer campaign, let us again reflect on the Bible passage that began and guided these two weeks. Please take a moment to read each word aloud while absorbing its meaning. Take a deep breath, pause, and listen to the Lord speak.
The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn and provide for those who grieve in Zion—to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of his splendor. (Jesaja 61:1-3, NBV)
If you can, read the whole chapter of Isaiah 61 again taking the time to pause and quietly listen to the Lord.
If you don’t have time right now to read the whole chapter, focus on the culmination of this passage a few verses later, and pray that it would be the song of France to Jesus, her Groom, for eternity:
I delight greatly in the Lord; my soul rejoices in my God. For he has clothed me with garments of salvation and arrayed me in a robe of his righteousness, as a bridegroom adorns his head like a priest, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels. For as the oil makes the sprout come up and a garden causes seeds to grow, so the Sovereign Lord will make righteousness and praise spring up before all nations. (Isaiah 61:10-11, NIV)
May France put on her finest clothes to welcome her Groom and inspire other countries to return to Him with joy and gladness!
