Welcome to the 2026 campaign of Pray for France!
As you may know, Pray for France has brought together thousands of people around the world in prayer every year since 2010. While this year marks a change in timing and length of the campaign, its heart is the same: to help French- and English-speaking believers intercede together for the country.
What is the 2026 campaign about?
Our main theme this year is A Hope and a Future, inspired by Isaiah 61 as explained on Day 1.
On following days, we will look at this theme through this passage: :
You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot. You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. (Matthew 5:13-15, NIV)
Week 1: the ministries represented are primarily church-centric, who share their vision of their role as the salt of the Earth.
Week 2: focuses on ministries working outside of the church’s typical reach, who share their passion as being the light of Jesus in the world.
How do I use this guide?
Each day, expect to spend a few minutes reading as a specific ministry shares its history, its identity, how God has been faithful over the years, a testimony of the lives they have seen transformed by God’s grace, the hope that drives them, and an additional Bible verse. Then, take some time to pray through their specific requests, as well as a closing prayer point for other similar ministries in France.

Did you know that similar to Hebrew, there are two different words in French to say “hope”? We use the words “espoir” and “espérance” – but what is the difference? Watch this video from the Bible Project to understand the true meaning of the word “hope.”
In these uncertain times, we, the believers in Christ, do not just hope for things to go our way. We have the Qavah hope that His promises will be fulfilled. His Word is the lamp to our feet, the lighthouse in the dark that non-believers dearly need.
In France, religion is mostly viewed in terms of separation between the Church and the State. A firm advocate of secularism, the country is predominantly atheist, and faith in Jesus is considered a thing of the past they’d rather forget. Politics, the economy, and the State have become idols that do not keep their promises, and the French people are forced to recognize this. Without hope to anchor to, French people grow more anxious; isolation and the media increase their fear of the future.
However, God is calling His children to put their trust in Him. His promises, His love, His goodness, His peace, His protection, and His blessing are well and truly available!
This year, we pray for all Christians all over France, to bear witness to the faithfulness of Christ in their own lives in this society that needs Him so badly. Amid the chaos, may the light of His Church shine, may it renew hope all over France.
The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the broken-hearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners2 to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn, and provide for those who grieve in Zion — to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of his splendor. (Isaiah 61:1-3, NIV)
This prophetic word received by Isaiah came true seven centuries later when Jesus pronounced it at the start of His ministry on Earth. Today, as we await His return, what could be better than taking His words to heart and putting them into action to carry out His work through the Holy Spirit that He has given us. There is only one hope: Christ!
Let’s Pray …
1. Jesus, just like You sacrificed Yourself so we could be sanctified, we humble ourselves before You and we worship You. We acknowledge that You have already accomplished it all and we offer You this time of prayer to intercede for this country so dear to Your heart. Just like Your heart wept for us, may our hearts cry out for our lost brothers and sisters in France.
2. Lord, increase our faith, our firm belief in Your promises, in Your goodness towards us, our loved ones, and all the people in France, who have wandered far away from You.
3. Father, may our brothers and sisters in Christ, living in France, be strengthened in their mission. Send Your Church that it may be the lamp, lit at the top of the mountain:, the blazing fire, the lighthouse in the darkness, showing the way home to all Your children who have gone astray.
4. Holy Spirit, inspire our prayers. May they rise up to you, our God, like a sweet and pleasant perfume filling Your heart with compassion for Your children in France.

Action Biblique Church
Location: Bonneville, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes

Our story | The AB Church in Bonneville was launched in 2004 in a town where there was no evangelical presence. Our ministry focuses on the youth as well as helpless people in our town, like those currently in prison. We are growing, despite restricted space in temporary facilities and look forward to the completion of our new building soon! In 2024, we had the opportunity to purchase property in Bonneville thanks to the support of the local authorities. We see God at work through this colossal project to firmly anchor our ministry in the heart of the town.
Our identity | What sets us apart as we serve is our warm welcome, our deep relationships, and our members’ strong commitment to outreach. We serve and love through our chaplaincy presence in the Bonneville prison, our children’s clubs and Christmas Craft workshops, and our partnership with the Gideons to distribute Bibles in front of local high schools and universities.
God’s faithfulness | God’s faithfulness can be seen in the growth of our church, as today we are a community of 60 people. He always provides at the right time like in 2024, when He opened the door for us to use a temporary site in Marnaz. His hand is clearly visible in our relationships with the local authorities and each step of this project confirms that He is the one building His Church as He guides us.
Lives transformed | Christian, an inmate at the Bonneville prison, is facing both a severe sentence and his overwhelming guilt. As he attends worship services in prison and talks with the chaplains, little by little he has been discovering God’s grace and forgiveness in Jesus Christ. He recently shared this testimony: “I believe I was incarcerated to meet God.”
The salt of the Earth | We are called to be the salt of the Earth. While it is impossible to avoid discussions about building maintenance, organizing services, and church needs, these things should not divert us from our primary mission: to be ambassadors for Christ. Otherwise, the church loses its flavor.
Our hope | Jesus promised to build His church in this town. While this building project demands time and finances beyond our means, Jesus is not without resources. He also promised to build His church, to fortify us and equip us to bring the Gospel to those around us. We pray not only for this building project but also for the spiritual house that we form as God’s people.
Let’s Pray …
1. For the building project and for the relationship between the church and the residential neighborhood of Le Bouchet in Bonneville.
2. For our church to be more and more visible in Bonneville and among all the towns in the Arve valley.
3. For our spiritual vitality, for the renewal of our strength and for perseverance in the face of hardship.
4. More generally, for all new church plants in France! May God renew the vision of the leaders and the faith of the members, may His provision arrive in good time, for His glory and for the glory of His bride!
Today’s verse | But thanks be to God, who always leads us as captives in Christ’s triumphal procession and uses us to spread the aroma of the knowledge of him everywhere. For we are to God the pleasing aroma of Christ among those who are being saved and those who are perishing. To the one we are an aroma that brings death; to the other, an aroma that brings life. Our story | The Lexington Café was created in 2015 in Toulouse by the leaders of La Maison church. The fruit of years of prayers and hard work, it has become a favorite local gathering place to enjoy a good cup of coffee. After being closed during Covid, we opened our doors again in 2024. Today, the café welcomes an average of 200 people per month during the day, from various generational, social and cultural backgrounds. We are especially popular among the young students in the area. In addition, over 100 people attend evening events organized by partner churches.
Our identity | Lexington Café is a place to go when you want to relax or to meet with friends. It’s a calm and peaceful place where kind and caring Christian staff will listen to anyone regardless of their faith. Many people come to enjoy our good quality drinks and food.
God’s faithfulness | We are thankful to be able to welcome customers again after being closed for such a long time after Covid. We are also excited for this space to be open for, and available to, all the churches in Toulouse. God has always provided financially to sustain our activities year after year.
Lives transformed | A young woman, whose flat is above the Lexington Café, accidentally received an Amazon package meant for us. She kindly came down to give it to us and had a cup of tea. Her heart was thirsty for God and after a few months spending time with us, she was baptized in December 2025. Such a joy!
Light of the world | Our café is located in the city center of Toulouse and our large window/storefront makes it visible from afar. People often say that the Lexington Café is like a lighthouse in the city.
Our hope | God continues to show us how lives are being transformed in the city so we are developing other evening activities to attract people from various walks of life. Our hope is to give to each and every one of them an opportunity to receive salvation.

1. For financial provision to support our missionaries who are committed in serving daily.
2. For the team to be reinforced with new volunteers eager to get involved.
3. For open hearts amidst the students and youth of Toulouse, that they may discover and welcome the love of God.
4. For all Christian cafés in France as they welcome non-Christians into a friendly atmosphere, bearing witness to Christ’s love to all who seek Him.

Saint Maur Christian & Missionary Church

Our story | The Christian & Missionary Church of Saint-Maur was founded in 2002 under the leadership of our “mother church” in the 13th arrondissement of Paris (a member of AECM France). Originally composed of Christians who arrived from Vietnam and Cambodia in the 1970-80s, today our church body has become very multi-cultural and continues to grow by the grace of God.
Our identity | We are one of the few churches in the Chinese diaspora to feature both French- and Chinese-speaking congregations, each with its own pastor and a worship service in their heart language.
God’s faithfulness | God has been sending us new people over these past few years. He has truly opened a door into the neighborhood surrounding the church, making us more visible and enabling us to create more relationships with our neighbors. We are thankful for the resources He has provided for the work in the new sanctuary. Glory to God for all of His blessings!
Lives transformed | A young adult in our congregation grew up in a Christian family and had been attending church since childhood, although without much interest in faith. A few years ago, he had a true encounter with the Lord, asked to be baptized and recently started theological training to possibly enter into pastoral ministry. What an incredible journey that was only made possible by the grace of God!
Salt of the Earth | We believe the church is called to be radically different from the world. This is the truth we teach, and step by step, we are witnessing to our neighbors within our community.
Our hope | This year, in line with Ephesians 2:10, we want to follow God’s plan, confident that He has already prepared in advance everything that we will do in 2026. May God help us to remain faithful to bear witness and to share the Gospel to our friends, family, and neighbors in La Pie.

1. For the Lord to open a door for the proclamation of the Gospel in the town of Saint-Maur.
2. For our church to grow in its love for those who live without hope.
3. For all the diaspora churches and multi-cultural churches in France, that they inspire all Christians to love one another and to celebrate their diverse and complementary nature so that they may form the wonderful body of Christ!

Our story | M4 Ready is a training course aimed at young leaders aged 18 to 30, focusing on church planting and the multiplication of disciples. The online course consists of six modules:

Our identity | M4 Europe wants to see one church planted every day in Europe. Our mission is to equip leaders in order to train and coach church planters and their teams in planting healthy churches that glorify God, impact society and are capable of reproducing.
God’s faithfulness | Over the past five years, hundreds of young people have been trained by M4 across Europe and in France, training recently began in 2026. This training meets the needs of Gen Z who seek to explore new paths with the Lord.
Lives transformed | In France, eight leaders have been trained as part of our pilot course. We hope many more will follow!
Salt of the Earth | We want to raise up a new generation of leaders who will transform France by pouring themselves into society through new expressions of the church. To be the salt of the Earth is the specific heart of our mission.
Our hope | This year, we want to train at least 20 leaders and to start another training course in collaboration with a Bible school. Great things are coming!

1. For the new students and the start of the academic year in September.
2. For the perseverance of the students and the impact the course will have in their lives.
3. For young leaders to rise up and encourage their churches to create a momentum for growth and multiplication.

Our story | We were formed in 2024 by merging two church planting initiatives in our denominational network to become a regional project in Vannes. We host Perspectives Bretagne Sud, a space consolidating local church activities, social aid activities, as well as activities of the Perspectives union of churches for the region, facilitating pastoral meetings, training courses, etc.
Our identity | Our church aims to be open to the city. We are a welcoming place offering social aid and chaplaincy opportunities as well as proclaiming the Gospel through activities for children and youth. We are a relational church as we partner with other local assemblies through pastoral meetings, training courses, various meetings, and youth events.
God’s faithfulness | The Lord is faithful! He has consistently supported the project by providing funding and facilities, as well as inspiring support from our union of churches. He has also sent brothers and sisters who are committed to the life of the church. Despite times of difficulty encountered while developing this project, we have seen the Lord’s faithfulness.
Lives transformed | J. grew up in the church with parents who were very committed to our ministry. As a teenager, he withdrew into himself and stopped coming to church. Although one could initially feel his discomfort, little by little, he started to change. He met the Lord and his life was transformed. Today, he has responsibilities in the church caring for students and leading worship services! Praise God!
Salt of the Earth | Each member of the church is called to be the salt of the Earth by living out the Gospel wherever they are, with their family, colleagues, classmates, neighbors, and friends. As a church, we are called to be a collective witness in this region of France with few Evangelical Christians. We live out this calling through our worship services, community outreach and social aid, the testimony of our church life and the warm welcome we extend to our neighbors.
Our hope | God has projects for the future of our church. While we are in a time of transition, with space and pastoral ministry needs, we rest in the hope that God will lead us in His plans and provide for our various needs.
Let’s pray …
1. For the transition period we are going through as our pastor is retiring and we are looking for a new one. May the Lord keep us united and committed to serving the church during this time.
2. For the Lord to lead the hearts of a pastoral couple to come and settle in Vannes.
3. For our essential need to extend and develop our premises so we can successfully carry out our projects. May the Lord provide finances for the construction work.
4. For all Christian communities in France to unite around Jesus to bear witness to His love among themselves, and to those who seek Him but may not know Him. May God give strength and hope to local churches and their leadership in regions of France where Evangelical Christians are few. May the soil in those isolated places become fertile for the planting of Christian communities of all types.

Our story | Agapé Art is an outreach chaplaincy serving artists searching for meaning to their life. We are located in both Paris and Dinard. We meet in the community space, Agapé Hub or in temporary spaces rented for specific events.
Our identity | We are an artistic association aimed at coming alongside artists who are on a spiritual quest or who feel discouraged.
God’s faithfulness | We rejoice when we see artists getting closer to God and even entrusting their lives to Him.
Lives transformed | One day, a Brazilian artist who had been in contact with us for seven years asked to know more about the Bible. One of our team members proposed a one-on-one weekly Bible study with him and six months later, he gave his life to the Lord! Journeying with these artists inspires them to find out more about our faith.
Light of the World | We want to shine through our presence in the arts community, through our work and in our towns and cities. Trust is gained via relationships, and artists ask us for personal meetings.
Our hope | Starting this summer, we will have officially launched our Dinard location, where we have renovated a former Protestant worship space rented by the Agapé Hub association.

1. For the Holy Spirit to inspire spiritual conversations with artists in Paris and Dinard.
2. For the launch of our Caring for Artists activity in Dinard.
3. For our teams in Paris and Dinard to be reinforced with new volunteers and missionaries.
4. For artistic ministries whether expressed through painting, sculpture, drawing, or music. May all expressions of our Father’s creativity lift Him high through their beauty and touch the hearts of French people!

Our story | Machol Danser la Vie is a ministry based on dance and movement which organizes training courses and seminars. Our goal is to enable Christians to reconnect with their bodies and rediscover the three dimensions of mind, body, and soul through art, worship, and God‘s Word.
Our identity | Our DNA is rooted in the biblical figure of Machol (Mahol in English Bibles) and his sons, mentioned in the book of Kings. In Hebrew, Machol means ‘to dance’, or ‘dancer,’ while the names of his sons evoke reconciliation, unity, intimacy, healing, authority, leadership, and praise. We invite everyone to enter into a deeper intimacy with God and to let themselves be restored and healed by art, worship, and God’s Word.
God’s faithfulness | God’s faithfulness is omnipresent. When some situations seem complicated or desperate, God often manifests Himself after a time of prayer and intercession. Each year, God continues to grow the ministry, leading it to greater maturity within our team and in our personal lives. We have witnessed lives restored and healed through our training courses and seminars on worship through movement.
Lives transformed | Our training courses on identity and worship through movement lay a solid foundation for finding your identity in Christ. Participants who arrive overwhelmed on the first day are progressively transformed, restored, and empowered. By engaging their mind, body, and soul in unity, they experience the powerful, renewing touch of the Holy Spirit.
Light of the World | Matthew 5:14 has a deep meaning for us and motivates the work we do. For us, being a light means we allow God’s love to flow through us in order to share with others, and bear witness to God. The light we’ve been given shines brightest when we activate it through prayer and worship.
Our hope | Our theme for 2026 has been Balance and Cohesion. Balance expresses itself between our horizontal relationships with others and in our vertical relationship with God. We cultivate this balance to be able to act with cohesion and unity as a spiritual body and with God.
Let’s pray …
1. For the mind – that the breath of the Holy Spirit will be felt over France and its government to raise awareness of the existence of God.
2. For the soul – that the beauty that emanates from God be revealed once again when glory is given to Him through the arts.
3. For the body – that the people of France will reconnect with the heart of God, so that the truth and the greatness of God may begin with the body of France but reach the governing head of the country.
4. For God to grant more visibility to movement ministries within France. May He also turn the lamentations of French people into dance and worship for the King of Kings and Lord of Lords!

Light of the World | To be the light of the world means needing to be visible to the world. This is why we have a large presence on the internet, social media, and why we use AI. We think that the apostle Paul would also have used all the means and media available to him in order to answer his call to impact and bring others to a saving knowledge of Christ.
Our hope | The Lord spoke to us, declaring 2026 to be a year of restitution, acceleration, and the unfolding of what is far beyond our wildest imagination – fully aligning with the truths of Ephesians 3:20-21.

Our story | In 2018 we started to reach young people in disadvantaged neighborhoods and young migrants using sports activities, social events, and camps. Our director, Jean Menneron, is a prison chaplain. The Gospel is proclaimed at each event, and Bible groups study the Word. Since 2022, we have offered a culturally relevant program each month for youth and their families, with the desire to see them become the living stones of a new community. All of this is made possible by our committed team members and volunteers. We’re excited to share that a church in the Paris area has also adopted our program.
Our identity | Faithfulness is one of our key values. Young people need consistency when facing difficulties, but they also need it to channel their energy within a structured environment. Proclaiming the Gospel is in our DNA; we are fully committed to sharing it at every opportunity.
God’s faithfulness | In an environment where fruit is hard to measure, the needs of these young people are real. God shows His faithfulness by providing team members and volunteers who have the skills to meet the needs of the young people we interact with. We are encouraged by our team dynamic and know that fellow believers are touched by our actions as they uplift us in various ways. Group retreats several times a year also allow us to take time to listen to God and recharge.
Lives transformed | Eldin, a 23-year-old Muslim from Kosovo, has been involved with our ministry since he was 14. Today, he faithfully attends a Bible study, helps lead at camps, and reads daily devotions. He is on the path to deepening his faith and is very close to fully committing his life to Jesus.
Light of the World | We serve in neighborhoods plagued by violence and a lack of family bearings. We want to shine by proclaiming the Gospel in these broken neighborhoods, our chaplaincies, in the young migrant shelter, and in jails. We walk alongside the young people and families in our area by visiting or calling them to show our support and we find this leaves a positive impact. One mother, who we have been helping for a few years, told me a few weeks ago: “I know that He loves me!”
Our hope | May God build His church near the people we serve by calling workers who are qualified for this long-term ministry. We trust God to provide funds for our team members and our activities for young people.
Let’s pray …
1. For a spiritual thirst in young people with Muslim backgrounds in deprived neighborhoods.
2. For faithful workers to reach young people where they are, shining brightly through their talents, professions and faith.
3. For this ministry to multiply in France and give rise to healthy communities.
4. For small ministries like ours who reach out to young people, the poor, and the forgotten in environments often hostile to the Word of Christ. May the hearts of these youth and communities be prepared in advance by the Holy Spirit, so that the workers’ words and actions fall on fertile ground and bear much fruit. May signs and wonders accompany these ministries, so that all who are called to know Christ may see the Father in the lives of these witnesses of His love!

Our story | Created in 1998, the Centre for Reconciliation develops community outreach projects in the following areas:
• Support for unaccompanied minors
• Shelter to single women or women with children
• Shared accommodation for students
• Budget-friendly shopping options with a thrift store
Our identity | Our motto is: helping those with no support. We look to the call originating in the Old Testament to protect the vulnerable—widows, orphans, and migrants who were helpless. Today, our mission is to bring relief to those who do not receive public assistance.
God’s faithfulness | God has met our needs through every situation we have faced. For instance, when several young girls were left homeless, He provided a house where they are safely welcomed today. In the same way, God provided both the volunteers and the funding needed for major construction on our youth accommodation.
Lives transformed | Several Christian minors arrived from the Democratic Republic of the Congo and found themselves homeless. Integration into our church and other churches in town allowed them to deepen their life with God, while receiving accommodation and educational support.
Light of the World | People in our neighborhood know the work of the Centre and associate it with the church. Social workers in the Lille area are touched that a church charity is the only answer for these homeless vulnerable women and children, as expressed in a news article in 2023: Homeless Babies: in Lille, the Public Authorities are Overwhelmed, and a Church Comes to the Rescue.
Our hope | The small house which houses female minors and women just out of the maternity hospital must be fully paid for so that the long-term action can continue. We await God’s provision. We are praying, we are searching.
Let’s pray …
1. That the Lord will manifest His presence in the lives of the people in need.
2. That the Lord will give us the necessary discernment and wisdom for our daily lives and for the development of our actions.
3. For all the churches and associations who offer refuge to people in need, feed them, care for them, listen to them or support them, like Jesus did during His time on Earth. They often do not receive recognition; may they be encouraged and blessed by our Father.

Our story | Founded in 1936 within the Federation of Baptist Evangelical Churches in France, Le Berger d’Israël (The Shepherd of Israel) was established in collaboration with an American Messianic Jewish missionary organization. We aim to share the Bessorah Tova (the Good News of the Gospel) with the Jewish people. The Messiah of Israel, Yeshua’ (Jesus), is at the heart of our faith and our message.
Our identity | We are a Messianic Jewish mission whose aim is to bear witness to the Gospel in various ways among Jewish people.
God’s faithfulness | Many Jewish people have discovered Yeshua through our various activities and collaborations. Our quarterly newsletter is distributed to more than 3,000 people. A member of our team serves in the Paris area, where the largest Jewish community in Europe is located.
Lives transformed | Daniel*, who has a Jewish father and a Catholic mother, first contacted us online and then in person. He was going through difficulties and was seeking answers to many questions. After meeting nearly every week for two years, the Lord’s timing became clear: “In January I took a decisive step, I declared my covenant with the Messiah, and I signed the contract of my heart. That moment will remain engraved in my life.” *name changed
Light of the World | Many Jewish people live in darkness, fearing for the future while searching for hope and light. Through our various activities, we are bringing the Good News from Israel’s Messiah, the light of the world, to the Jewish people.
Our hope | It is a dark and difficult time for the Jews in Europe with the sharp rise of antisemitism and growing fear among the Jewish community. These difficult times are opening the hearts of people who would normally be closed off to Jesus. We believe that He sees this ripe harvest and is revealing Himself to His people!
Let’s pray …
1. For the month of Tishrei – the holiest month of the Jewish religious calendar-which began on September 11 and will last until October 10, marking the beginning of the year 5787. It is a time to reflect on the year coming to an end and to seek the Lord, making this time ideal for discovering Jesus. May many hearts be opened during this month, and may the Lord guide us in our actions!
2. That the Lord of the harvest will send new workers. There are currently 400,000 Jewish people living in the Paris region, yet fewer than 10 people are involved in full-time ministry, witnessing to them.
3. For all ministries that share the Gospel with Jewish people as well as with people of other faiths. May our Lord reveal Himself in their lives, and may all see that our Lord Jesus is God!

Our story | Ligue pour la Lecture de la Bible is part of an international movement known in English as Scripture Union, which is present in over 140 countries. Its goal is to share the good news of Jesus Christ with people of all ages and backgrounds, using the Bible and prayer to lead them to a personal faith in the Lord.
Our identity | Where other associations may have a singular focus on publishing, hosting camps, or providing training activities, La Ligue does all three! We publish educational resources, promote camp experiences, and offer training for camp leaders. The fact that La Ligue belongs to an international network gives depth to our mission and goals and allows us to pool a large number of resources.
God’s faithfulness | God showed His faithfulness in sustaining the mission despite structural weaknesses and a period of transition. He has provided donors and partners who remained committed even when the economy was weak. He opened new doors to share the Word through renewed resources, digital projects, new training courses, and reinforced links with churches.
Lives transformed | Every year, in our training courses, we listen to women share their suffering due to sexual and/or spiritual abuse. Our courses make it possible to open spaces for discussion and to start a healing process.
Light of the World | For everyone at La Ligue, to be a city on the hill, means to be anchored in the reality of our towns and localities by being active in the field. We do this by making the Bible accessible to everyone, by training and accompanying those who pass on the Good News, and by creating spaces where faith is alive. La Ligue aims to shine the light of the Word which guides, reconciles, and gives hope.
Our hope | God is faithful and He walks with us for the advancement of His Kingdom. Despite challenges, God is with us. Let’s walk in this promise with confidence and peace.
Let’s pray …
1. That God grants us the wisdom to lead our campaigns as funding levels remain a consistent challenge.
2. For our team who, despite being passionate for our ministry, are often overworked and need to learn to rest.
3. For the youth in France to be more interested in the Bible and its spiritual wealth, and that La Ligue will be an active witness to make this possible.
4. For young French Christians to grow in their faith by attending youth groups, fellowship programs, youth ministry events, and summer camps. May the Lord draw them into a deeper faith and relationship with Him, inspiring many to dedicate their lives to ministry. Please pray for the church to be renewed and strengthened by young believers, reigniting a fire of new life and hope across all congregations that need it!
Today’s verse | The path of the righteous is like the morning sun, shining ever brighter till the full light of day. (Proverbs 4:18)
Now that we have traveled through France and witnessed the faithful men and women serving there in order to bring God’s Kingdom on Earth, let us now find our rest once more in the Lord.
On our final day of this prayer campaign, let us again reflect on the Bible passage that began and guided these two weeks. Please take a moment to read each word aloud while absorbing its meaning. Take a deep breath, pause, and listen to the Lord speak.
The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn and provide for those who grieve in Zion—to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of his splendor. (Isaiah 61:1-3, NIV)
If you can, read the whole chapter of Isaiah 61 again taking the time to pause and quietly listen to the Lord.
If you don’t have time right now to read the whole chapter, focus on the culmination of this passage a few verses later, and pray that it would be the song of France to Jesus, her Groom, for eternity:
I delight greatly in the Lord; my soul rejoices in my God. For he has clothed me with garments of salvation and arrayed me in a robe of his righteousness, as a bridegroom adorns his head like a priest, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels. For as the oil makes the sprout come up and a garden causes seeds to grow, so the Sovereign Lord will make righteousness and praise spring up before all nations. (Isaiah 61:10-11, NIV)
May France put on her finest clothes to welcome her Groom and inspire other countries to return to Him with joy and gladness!
